Sonagaon Arts and Crafts Foundation

After the Hindu village we went to a big Arts and Crafts Park in Sonargaon. It was green and luscious. Many school classes were visiting. It is a big area where locals also go to hang out and to realx. This is the first place I've seen Bengalis "relax". They sit in the shade, they wash themselves in the water, they walk slowly just for the sake of walking in peace and it was quiet and nice. We walked around in the shade as it is very hot during the day. We went into the little museum, to the amusement park, to the market and we also just sat a little by the water. The main event at this visit was the "hallaballoo" we caused as foreigners. So many random people wants to come and take picture after picture with us. One on one, two and two, two and one, two and three, three and ten etc... They want to have the picture, stare at you, talk to you even there is not many words we share and they want to touch your clothes and skin. It is really funny and different. They tell you how beautiful we are and so on.
It went on forever and finally we decided to leave but it was a really fun visit.
