At Bashundhara City Complex
The fashion is highly (!!) colorful and "blingy". We did find one store that had the theme "black and white". We like :)

Some headpieces for women
Three hours later quite exhausted by the scale, the number of stores, thousands of people and the constant noise.
We sat on the stairs to wait for our driver. From there we could watch city life which is huzzling and buzzling. Traffic, people and action of all sorts. While we sat there a minaret in front of us started to pray and sing. It was quite nice. It is hard to experience the street life as the locals get very caught up in you being a foreigner and they do not really leave you alone. They stare as they are fascinated, they come up to you for many reasons (talk, touch or beg and so on). They surely wonder what a "Bengali woman" is doing with a white man... And seeing a woman looking "the same but different" is very puzzling for them. You do not see many women on the streets. And you definatley do not see many women without a man on the streets. It is mostly men everywhere and as a woman (for me) that feels a little intimidating at times. So, sitting on those stairs in peace was a great moment to take in the city and it's life (for once outside of the car).
