Arrived in Khulna City

Our driver is from Khulna and before he dropped us off at our hotel he invited us to his mother's house. He and his family is doing well and his mother has a big apartment where she lives with her two sons and daugther. We were invited to tea but it ended up being many little dishes of food and many types of drinks. The whole family and neighbors also came by. It is such a big deal when foreigners come to someones home here. They treat you like a celebity. I could see the women talking about me a lot as they wondered why I looked like them but still was so different... I tried to tell them my story but it was a bit hard with the language barrier.They smiled and was very warm and friendly.
In the house we were seated in a row along a wall and they all watched us like show pieces and served us food. After food we all went up on the roof for some picture taking.
It was really entertaining and a great and sweet experience.
